PONSONBY VILLA - MAIN BATHROOM

Abbey Lang loved the raw brass and patina of our Rockwell taps from The Water Monopoly, specifying them throughout the home. We love how the soft, rich palette of Moroccan zellige tiles, Tundra Grey stone and raw brassware celebrates natural materiality, while the Shaker-style joinery embraces the villa’s heritage without being stuffy.

For the new owner, this traditional Ponsonby villa in Auckland presented as two entities: a previous architectural re-design of the kitchen and living area left the remainder of the home appearing dated and tired.

Abbey Lang Home was called in to revive the old villa and in doing so unify the two parts. The brief was to create a home that was welcoming and calm, with a strong focus on colour and materiality while still honouring the identity of the home.
