Como by Design 2018

Como by Design offered the opportunity to view historic Como House 'Reimagined' by twenty-six eminent Melbourne designers this weekend. The three day event saw designers each decorate a corner of the house with their own style and flair, bringing a fresh look to the period residence from the grandest to its most humble of spaces.

THE BALLROOM BATHROOM

The English Tapware Company renovated the Ballroom Bathroom with new taps, basins and bottle traps!

When Tigger Hall, the mastermind behind Como by Design, invited Vincent Jenden Design to transform our Perrin & Rowe fitout in this 19th century colonial powder room, his recent visit to the Chelsea Flower Show, London was inspiration enough.

We are privileged & proud to gift these beautiful brass Perrin & Rowe country style taps and Perrin & Rowe oval undermount basins to the National Trust so they can live on beyond the event.

THE BUTLER'S PANTRY

Justin Bishop Interior Design lavishly transformed the Butler's Pantry into a sumptuous servant's lair.

THE DINING ROOM

Jacquie Pask of Moss Melbourne chose our Armac Martin Arbar handle in burnished brass to embellish her cabinetry. 

THE SEMINARS

A program of seminars also ran throughout, with special guest speakers giving visitors the opportunity to hear some of Melbourne’s leading interior designers discussing the latest trends in international design.

Walter McMahon, our hardware specialist, spoke on 'The Bespoke World of Melbourne Artisan Craftsmanship' alongside Jessica Bettenay from Resident Avenue, Beatrix Rowe Interior Design and Suzie Stanford Design.

There was a magic about this talk - it was a full house and a meeting of creative minds. Thank you very much to Manuela from Meanwhile in Melbourne for facilitating the talk and to Tigger Hall for her lovely words to wrap up.
