Sydney stylist Jackie Brown shares her top tips for freshening up your bathroom this season.
Sydney stylist Jackie Brown recently styled a project for Real Living magazine using our gorgeous classical style Perrin & Rowe Art Deco pedestal basin and toilet. She explains how you can transform your classical bathroom for the season ahead by adding a little contemporary artwork and styling. Here, Jackie has used washi tape to mount pictures and cards which you can replicate at home with artwork or photographs.
To re-invigorate your bathroom she says you can’t go wrong with greenery which always makes a bathroom feel fresher. She advises that new luxurious towels make a huge difference and to invest in some gorgeously branded pump soaps and hand lotions. Candles and scents are a real winner.
Jackie has no qualms recommending to residential clients her regular ‘styling product suppliers’ who make or stock beautiful quality products that not only look great when photographed, but are ‘made to go the distance’.
For those looking to renovate beyond 2016, Jackie predicts that in the bathroom natural stone and materials will continue to be strong - our love of marble, terrazzo and terracotta will grow and be nurtured. Muted or aged tapware will continue to be popular and we will start to see people be a bit more playful with lighting fixtures in the bathroom.
