Inspired by the sixteenth century Italian architect Andrea Palladio, the Boyle collection provides a beautifully refined neo-classical design to the Joseph Giles suite of fittings.

Such was the admiration for Palladio, that Richard Boyle, the 3rd Earl of Burlington based the 1726 rebuild of his residence, Chiswick House, around the Italian architects famous Villa Rotonda near Vicenza.

Chiswick House’s wealth of visual sources such as interior half filled fluted pillars, decorative architraves, soffits, porticos and balustrade staircases are just a few of the sumptuous elements depicted in the Boyle collection.

The Boyle door knobs are made of the finest grade solid brass and are available in all the standard Joseph Giles finishes.

Joseph Giles locks & latches are available in light, medium, and heavy-sprung options. To ensure the best performance for this door knob design, we recommend using a light-sprung latch.
